Responding to customers’ needs for simplified one-step content and metadata importing to Documentum, Impact Systems developed Q-Transfer™ Lite. Q-Transfer™ Lite includes dynamic verification against a repository’s data dictionary, which saves a significant amount of time (nearly 40%) typically spent cleansing metadata.

Impact Systems developed the solution based on market feedback from customers looking for high-volume bulk load functionality at a dramatically reduced price point. As organizations struggle with economic pressures, reduced staff, and the need to do more with less, they are looking for Documentum software tools like Q-Transfer™ Lite to save time, cost and risk as they manage content across the organization.

In addition to being fast and reliable, Q-Transfer™ Lite is easy to use. With an interface similar to an Excel® spreadsheet, the software can be used by a typical user to bulk load content – it does not require permission rights of a systems administrator. Another key feature is that at the end of the import, Q-Transfer™ Lite creates both a success and a failure log for easy reference. Q-Transfer™ Lite can run via multiple stations to further increase transfer rates.
