migration of all content and metadata between EMC Documentum and Microsoft

October 14, 2009, Greenville, DE -- Impact
Systems Inc., (www.ImpactSystems.com),
a leading provider of enterprise content management (ECM) software tools and
services, today announced two new additions to its Q-Transfer™ product line,
allowing organizations to migrate content between EMC Documentum (4.x, 5.x,
6.x) and Microsoft SharePoint (2003, 2007):
Q-Transfer™ Export for
SharePoint
Q-Transfer™ Import for
SharePoint
Understanding
that many successful organizations thrive with heterogeneous enterprise content
management environments, Impact Systems has leveraged its twelve years of Documentum
expertise and in-depth understanding of the platform’s intricacies to
develop these modules. The tools allow organizations to easily migrate between
platforms and reduce time, cost and risk.
Additionally,
with the rapid growth of SharePoint, Impact Systems understands that
organizations are seeking cost-effective ways to manage and
gain control of their content. Impact Systems also recognizes that customers
are looking for reliable tools to easily and selectively migrate content and
metadata into new Documentum or SharePoint environments.
Q-Transfer™
Export for SharePoint and Q-Transfer™ Import for SharePoint allow Documentum
and SharePoint administrators to simplify the process of managing multiple
content sources, while maximizing their return on investment. The tools support
selective migrations and allow for the co-existence of multiple platforms as
businesses migrate content in bulk or incrementally into Documentum or
SharePoint.
These
connector modules include full content migration and mapping functionality, including
allcontent (files, properties,
versions, related documents, renditions, virtual documents), mapping
(content types, properties, folders, libraries), and optional post-processing (the
ability to attach workflows and/or lifecycles). Module users can also import from
or export to Windows file systems.
